Six Reasons Why Guys Just Sometimes Can’t Get It Up

Got wood? Unfortunately, it’s not always as easy for guys as it looks? There are lots of things that can prevent a guy from getting his usual hard on, and it has nothing to do with you!

1. He’s drunk. Being intoxicated, or even a little tipsy, can cause temporary impotence in some men. If a guy knows he wants to get lucky later on, he should do the smart thing and cut back on his drink intake because once the damage is done, the only thing that can heal his floppy friend is time.

2. He’s exhausted. Sometimes he’s just too tired. No matter how hot you are and no matter how much he wants to get sexually aroused, exhaustion sometimes takes over. Rest is the best cure. If he can’t get it up, suggest you both take a cuddly nap together, and try again in an hour or two.

3. Too much caffeine or nicotine. Erections can be hard to come by if a guy has had too much coffee or cigarettes pre-sex. Make sure he saves those indulgences for the post-party and he should be back to normal in no time.

4. He’s got a medical condition. Sexual performance can be affected if a guy has high blood pressure, diabetes, or depression. Certain medications can also make a guy go limp. Suggest that he talk to his doctor about how he can manage his condition while saving his hard ons.

5. He’s got a case of performance anxiety. He needs to relax and may need your help doing so. Give him a backrub and make sure he knows that you’re in no rush to do the deed. Just knowing that you’re there for him could help him get sexually aroused and give him the long lasting erection that he’s used to.

6. He’s got erectile dysfunction. ED effects more guys than guys would like to admit. It’s common and it’s treatable. If he always has trouble getting aroused and often has erection problems, then he should see a doctor and consider taking an ED treatment like Viagra or Cialis, both popular drugs that’ll help him get it back up and running.
